Tā xiǎng qù, ér wǒ bù xiǎng.
He wants to go, but I don't.
天气热，而他还没脱外套。
Tiānqì rè, ér tā hái méi tuō wàitào.
It's hot, yet he still hasn't taken off his coat.
先吃饭，而后休息。
Xiān chīfàn, ér hòu xiūxi.
Eat first, and then rest.
